Children's Ministry

Welcome to our children's ministry page.  Jesus taught in Matthew 19:14, "Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."  Our children's ministry focuses on leading them to acknowledge of Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, and to learn to live their lives by God's Word.

Sunday School - Bible Studies for Life: Kids

This study for grade school ages will lead kids to know and connect with the God of the Bible. They'll grow to understand that He is real and relevant to their everyday lives. Imagine kids learning to not only seek the truth through Scripture but also being challenged each week to apply those truths to their lives. Imagine kids seeing God as the Great I Am, not some fictional character they can take or leave.

Kids' Club (Grades 1-6)

Join us Friday nights for dinner at 6:30, followed by Chinese school at 7:30, and the grand finale with TeamKID (Kids in Discipleship) for your kids to learn more about God through an exciting mix of learning activities, games, Bible stories, prayer, and mission emphasis time.

TeamKID

With TeamKID:Step Out, This discipleship study encourages kids to step out and do what is right in all parts of their lives. They will study the great stories and people in the Bible in chronological order to learn about issues ranging from the courage to make the right choices, to the courage to admit when they are wrong, to the courage to follow God's leadership.

What is TeamKID?

TeamKID is a high-energy discipleship series for children. TeamKID balances fun activities and games with Scripture memorization and high-impact biblical lessons. Every minute is packed with non-stop excitement-from Warm Up to Cool Down. Each session includes games, a Bible story, a memory verse, missions segment, refreshments, and a conclusion; all of these components work together to help kids understand and apply God's Word to their lives.

Who Can Participate?

For children, youth & college in 1st - 6th grade.

When is the Program?

From 8:00 - 9:30 pm on Friday evenings.

Where?

The Social Hall at EFCP.

What Happens in a TeamKID Meeting?

TeamKID is designed for children to do more than memorize Scripture. It helps children understand what the verses they memorize mean because all parts of the TeamKID meeting focus on one Bible message. The noncompetitive games, Bible story, memory verse, missions, refreshments, and conclusion all contribute
to help children understand and apply God's Word to their lives.

A TeamKID meeting has six parts with each one flowing into the next to keep the pace moving with non-stop energy:

  • WARM-UP is the opening activity that begins as soon as the first child arrives at TeamKID.
  • WORKOUT includes energized, interactive Bible study as children hear or experience a Bible story, learn the meaning of a Bible verse, apply Bible truths to their lives, sing, and pray.
  • REACH OUT uses either a missions DVD, missions activities, or mission action projects to teach children about missions around the world.
  • STRETCHING is when children work on learning the memory verse.
  • THE TOURNAMENT is a time to run, play, and laugh with fun games and activities that reinforce the Bible study.
  • COOL DOWN is the final few minutes of the meeting and includes refreshments and a review of what children have learned.
